About the Photographer
Dennie Hahn is an award winning photographer who lives
with her family in San Juan Capistrano, CA.   In July 2013,
Dennie achieved her dream of owning a gallery when she
opened The Cottage Gallery in San Juan Capistrano.

As Founder of the OC Shutterbug Club, she spends time
helping others learn more about their cameras and
organizing photo trips. Already a graduate of UCLA,  she
returned college to earn a degree in Photography.
Although she spends a lot of time teaching clients, she
also spends a lot of time taking classes. Always striving
to expand her knowledge and skill level.  Dennie has
been fortunate enough to have attended classes given by
Art Wolfe,  Douglas Kirkland, Eddie Tapp, Arthur Morris,
Don Gale, Judy Host and Ron Niebrugge  among many
others.  She continues conducting extended photo tours
for those clients who like to journey outside of Orange
County with small groups of photographers.  These are
geared like the OC Shutterbug Club trips where the focus
is on the overall experience of the trip, encouraging
budding photographers, extending  their photographic
knowledge but focusing on a low key, less intimidating
environment than one might find elsewhere.

Photography is a family interest.  Her husband, Don, is a
Motion Picture/TV Major who at one time worked as a
photographer for the (formerly) Los Angeles Raiders.  Her
children have each won awards for their own
photography.

Dennie is also an author.  Her first book,
Treasures of
Orange County
, incorporates her beautiful photographs
in a guide book about unique things to do in the O.C.
